The Older Boys at the Archery World Cup Finals in Ogden

The first match we watched was the USA v. China in the Gold Medal round of the long bow competition. THE US WON! After that the boys went over and tried their hand at shoting a bow, and the trainer gave them hats, pins, and chapstick (over $16 worth of items). Harrison got his face painted, we got free drinks and dogs, watched some mixed doubles, and had a good time together.

"Date night"

We had so much fun! I was out for hours with Julian we went to dinner at Applebees, Shopping at the childrens place and babies R us. Julian is such a sweet helpful child. He really was a joy to be with. The rest of the heathens were living it up with my parents.

Tuesday

Harrison can find music in anything. Today he made whistles by blowing into his noodles that we ate for lunch. For all of the times I have to say Harrison don't.... scream, make your sister scream, touch that, run, wrestle, this list goes on and on. I also think WOW you have way of finding joy out of everything (Lucky). Julian is LOVING the basketball hoop that Adam put up Saturday. He plays it in the morning before school and as soon as school gets out. Today he asked if he could run to next door and back a couple of times. He just really wanted to run. (I'm jealous) I just love my kids!

Random

Well hello,
I know that this says Adam is posting but I figure that since he used my email address to set up this blog I can blog under his name. All is fair right? I have become a blog stocker lately. I for some unexplained reason enjoy reading about random strangers lives. Maybe its that it makes me feel better to read that some on in Alabama has the same experiences being a parent that I do. So, I have assumed command of this blog. I hope to kind of use it as a journal. We will see if that actually happens.
Olivia and Aiden have colds. Olivia's is just icky and Aiden while still in the early stages looks just as promising. I hope it doesn't come on full force though. We are hoping to bless Aiden on Sunday. Harrison came home from school today telling me that he was invited to a friends birthday party but he didn't want to go so he ripped it up and left it on the bus. Ahhh! For a compassionate child he sometimes can do the cruelest things. Luckily the little boy doesn't know and Harrison and I have had a talk about it so I hope that it doesn't happen again. Being a kid is hard. Being a mom just might be harder.

Harrison

This morning we were sitting on our bed playing with Olivia (actually we were arguing as to who would feed Olivia her breakfast), when Harrison came in to join us. He quickly accepted the mission of going into the kitchen and getting his little sister a Graham Cracker.

A short time later we hear him struggling with a new box of crackers. The next thing we know the box of crackers popped open and fell to the floor and then "OOHHH! I didn't 'spect that to happen," Harrison exclaims.

We could hardly contain or even disguise our laughter as he came triumphantly back into the room with the broken cracker pieces in hand.

That boy makes me laugh.
